Quick notes for Act of Valor. The action scenes are very impressive. The producers definitely had access to some great hardware and advisors. All of the ancillary characters actors are great. They were convincing. However, the main two characters seemed like they were reading their lines from que cards.
I believe I read that the movie has real Navy Seals playing the roles which is why the main characters seemed so stiff. It just shows you that acting really is a craft and not everyone can do it.
The story was a little convoluted and has thinly strung together. But it is still worth a watch if you are into military action scenes. Some of the scenes are very solid.
